Reflection

This is a post reflecting on how we did as a group.

Positive aspects:
  • We spaced out the project through a calendar. We were willing to spend our weekends filming, and did not wait until the last minute. 👌
  • We all kept good communication through email. 👊
  • We did not argue.
  • Every one of our member roles was fitting, given everyone's strengths.
  • We kept the cost of all materials pretty low. Breakdown of cost:
    • MATERIALS COST
      • Scrapbook Paper- 2 packs ($15): Erin & Erika bought
      • Scrapbook Portfolio ($18): Meghan bought
      • Pictures [Home printing]
      • Movie Poster ($1.50): Erika bought
      • Conan bowtie on portfolio cover ($7): Meghan bought
      • Portfolio white collared shirt ($6): Meghan bought
    • Total $ spent (approximate) : $50 (The above materials add up to exactly $47.50 as of right now); Per person: ~$7 (Or $6.79)
Things we could have possibly done better/things we should have worked on:
  • We all had busy schedules and did our best, but we often changed dates and probably should've been more firm with some dates.
  • We could have split up the workload better. Some did a lot more work than others, which was not fair to them :(

Digital Portfolio Complete

Remember how I shared our digital portfolio with y'all awhile back? If you don't recall, it's okay; now you know! Digital portfolio is no longer a work-in-progress. We have finished uploading all deliverables, pictures, and character descriptions. Check it out at http://totsashrewinscarlet.weebly.com/!!!

The Last Few Days

Hi everyone!
It's been almost two months since I started this blog, and I'm sad to see it end! I really enjoyed this blogging experience since it's the first blog I've made. I certainly learned a lot (like how to change fonts and colors on a pre-made template). Thank you all for reading my posts :')

As of today: Meghan added bloopers to our video; the length of the video is 22 minutes. She spent more than 15 hours editing the video and adding subtitles (dedication right there!!) She also did our portfolio cover, which is a white collared shirt bought from Goodwill with a red bow tie to represent Conan. In the shirt pocket, there is a handkerchief with the title of our film on it. We have already given the flash drive with the film to Scout Chung, but Meghan plans to adjust a few more things before tomorrow.

4/29/16: Video and portfolio turned in to Scout Chung, completely finalized.
5/4/16: Scout Chung will be airing the film to our class.

Recap:
4/25/16, Monday & 4/26/16, Tuesday: After school we met in the library to cut and glue the titles, character descriptions, & other miscellaneous papers into the portfolio. We also chose fonts for the portfolio. The titles that were not character names were 1 general font (except scene sketches). The general font was sophisticated but not too fancy. Each character has their own unique font that matches them. For example, Katherine's font was a fancy cursive-y font. Meghan worked on the video using IMovie during this time (which lagged more and more as our video was given more and more elements).

4/26/16, Wednesday: We met in Mr. Chung's room to continue cutting and gluing the titles, character descriptions, & other miscellaneous papers into the portfolio. Essays were all printed and turned in.

A Sampling of the Finalized Poster

The highly awaited poster is finally here! Created by Erika Kim~
The physical poster was very high quality at very low cost (only costed $1.50 and printed by Kinkos).

4/23 Film Shots

To better our video, we refilmed some scenes and filmed a few more that somehow got lost in the filming process. Here are a few pictures/clips!
